Director of Analytics

Ancore Health’s mission is to humanize data insights. Part of how we do this is by taking disparate publicly available data sets (e.g. big data) and developing new insights that inform our clients and the public at large. The Director of Analytics role will help to shape these stories by ensuring we are processing data (both public and client data) efficiently through our data hub, in addition to developing complex algorithms to drive new and interesting insights. 
We are looking for a collaborative self-starter who can take ownership and drive results. The ideal candidate for this role would not only have the technical and healthcare expertise to architect and build a healthcare insights platform, but also the desire and skillset to present findings to executive stakeholders and work with clients on using public and client data sets to answer key strategic questions for their care ecosystem.  


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop a proprietary healthcare insights platform that will allow for national trends as well as regional/system level analysis

  • Build and maintain dashboards that highlight the current status of a provider’s journey into various aspects of the changing healthcare landscape

  • Lead the development of customized insight focused tools to be leveraged by a multitude of client types, using public and private data within a cloud-based environment 

  • Communicate to clients their current performance compared to peers within the context of the data insights platform and articulate opportunities for improvement based on data-driven conclusions

  • Stay abreast of leading-edge and emerging technologies in the industry to incorporate into our data architecture as appropriate 


Required Qualifications:

  • BS / BA in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of agile software product delivery and management experience

  • Experience as a “translator” of technical processes and findings to a non-technical stakeholder

  • Experience delivering software to a public and/or private cloud utilizing IaaS (AWS preferred) and/or PaaS cloud paradigms

  • Experience with SQL, NoSQL, Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Storm, Spark, ELK, Druid, etc.) and Open Source Commercial grade highly scalable data solutions

  • Experience leading development using software engineering and product development tools such as Agile, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, DevOps, etc. 

  • Skilled in data visualization techniques user tools such as Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy etc. 

  • Experience in the healthcare industry manipulating and analyzing public and private data sets (CMS, MedPAR, payer claims data)

  • Excellent collaboration skills and techniques to create innovative market-leading solutions

  • Display a strong desire to achieve and attain high levels of both internal and external customer satisfaction

  • Able to work in a “startup mentality” to accelerate the introduction of new capabilities and improve processes


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate being an avid supporter of the Open Source software community

  • Experience with NLP, MLP, and development of statistical/predictive models using various Machine learning algorithms are a plus

  • Experience as a server administrator or network engineer is a plus

  • Client facing consulting or product implementation experience
