Evan Elmore
Director of Analytics
Evan believes that a good question is worth a thousand answers. He takes a “problem-first” approach to every project, ensuring the team digs for root causes rather than getting stuck on surface-level issues. Evan brings nearly a decade of experience in data analytics and visualization to his role as Director of Analytics. He thrives on the challenge of quickly turning complex data into actionable insights for short-term projects, and he's also developed and maintained reporting solutions for both large health systems and smaller independent medical groups. Evan has partnered with organizations to rapidly prototype MVPs, leveraging all-payer claims and transparency data to uncover strategic opportunities for new market entrants.
When he isn’t at work, Evan enjoys cheering on Nashville SC, watching the latest Disney movie—for the hundredth time—with his three kids, and trying to conquer the ever-growing pile of books on his nightstand.

With more than a decade of experience with The Advisory Board Company, Optum Advisory Services, and Mental Health Cooperative, Sarah leads teams in a wide variety of projects, including provider comp redesigns, financial and operational assessments, and designing reporting platforms. She’s passionate about bridging the gap between finance and operations and does it all with a little dash of Cajun spice and fire.
Sarah can typically be found doing home projects with her husband, Ryan, or teaching their Goldendoodle, Birdie, new tricks. She is an avid reader and tries to read 50 books each year — just don’t ask her what they were about because she never remembers!
Leslie Watson
Consultant
As an “amateur chef,” Leslie loves a challenge in the kitchen and isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty. She brings this same mindset into the office, rolling up her sleeves to tackle clients' toughest problems. With deep experience in practice management, revenue cycle management, and payer systems, Leslie delves into the data to create insightful, actionable solutions. At Ancore, her focus is on solving complex issues related to ever-evolving employed physician models. This includes physician compensation redesign, medical group diagnostics, pro-forma modeling for acquisitions, and strategic advisement.
Outside of work, Leslie can often be found encouraging her daughter to say “MaMa” for the hundredth time, enjoying the back porch with her husband Tyler, exploring new restaurants with friends, or strolling through Nashville’s parks and greenways.
Working here is not for the faint of heart, it's not for 9-5ers, it's not for check the boxers…it's for the curious, for problem solvers, for challenging the norm, for idea people…that’s what Ancore is to me.
Eric Passon – CEO, founder
Our brave work began with a brave story.
Twenty-one beats per minute. In less than four months, my resting heart rate decreased from 70 to 49 beats per minute. Had I known that my life would be impacted so greatly by a change in course, perhaps I would be writing this sooner. Nevertheless, early in 2016, I realized I needed to make a change in both my personal and professional life.
Up to this point, I had a stable career for over 15 years working with two well-respected organizations: TeamHealth and The Advisory Board Company (via the Southwind Health Partners acquisition). TeamHealth gave me my first shot out of college, Southwind gave me my first shot at building something bigger than myself, and The Advisory Board Company gave me the ability to build something beyond my expectations. The work was professionally rewarding and included building an incredible consulting and management team focused on developing financially sustainable relationships, primarily between physicians and health system executives. We made this happen in a variety of ways including physician compensation redesign and implementation, business intelligence technology development, and value-based care economic roadmaps, to name a few. I am eternally grateful for the opportunities I had with these organizations and the friendships I made along the way.
In the middle of 2016, given many years “on the road,” I wanted to spend more time with my family, including my wife, Joanne, who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (“MS”) one year after our daughter was born. As many of you know, people dealing with chronic conditions need support beyond the clinical diagnosis and treatment plan.
My idea was that by making a radical change as a family we could create a new normal. I made this decision in February of 2016 and left my executive job toward the end of May of 2016. Leaving the laptop behind, we escaped for six weeks in the heat of the summer to Cape Cod to find cooler air (which helps manage MS symptoms) and hit the reset button.
During my time off, many things changed. The intent of creating a new normal for my family worked. The noise of corporate life went away and I felt refreshed and excited. And in this place of rejuvenation, I was able to look ahead to what might come next.
Once we returned home, I spent my time networking, learning from the many interesting people in and out of Nashville who are part of the healthcare entrepreneurial space. The energy and motivation to change and improve healthcare was contagious. I cannot thank these people enough who were so encouraging and empowering, even giving me a healthy dose of reality. You know who you are.
Toward the end of 2016, I decided to start my own company. I wanted to do something that combined my operational, consulting, networking, and personal healthcare experience and use it for good. Joanne insisted we name the company Anchor, due to the calming image we recalled from our time at Cape Cod. It worked, because my early vision for the company was to help organizations innovate from their core. So, we chose the name Ancore, which means “multiple anchors” in Italian.
Ancore Health imagines a world where curiosity leads to mission-first mindsets across fully synced organizations. We partner with providers who are brave enough to chart a new financial path that is the right answer for patients. To make this happen, we take our finance and data insight expertise and invite health systems to reimagine their existing assets, like their medical group. Amid today’s maze of uncertainty, the priorities of the patient are being conveniently ignored. There is an immediate opportunity to drive a new economic vision with the patient at the center and we invite you to join us on this journey.
